Clay brings a unique blend of expertise to his role as the Office Manager at Biermann Orthodontics. With a solid background in spa management and a newfound passion for the dental industry, Clay has seamlessly transitioned into his role, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a dedication to ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. His adaptability and appreciation for diverse cultures make him a valuable asset to our team, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for both our staff and patients.
Originally hailing from the vibrant state of Arizona, Clay has called Oregon home for over a decade. Outside the office, Clay has a passion for staying current with pop culture trends and enjoying video games. He also indulges in the guilty pleasure of following “The Real Housewives” series. Clay’s life outside of work is anchored by his loving partner and their two feline companions, Max and Adele.
As treatment coordinator, Rachelle is one of the friendly personalities you will find at the front desk. Rachelle can assist you with scheduling your next appointment, discuss treatment options or customize payment plans.
Rachelle was born and raised in “The Biggest Little City” (Reno, NV) and moved to Oregon in 2011. Prior to working at Biermann Orthodontics, Rachelle managed a spa and learned that the key to a great patient experience was an upbeat attitude and a genuine smile.
Rachelle lives in Hillsboro with her two adopted cats, Calista and Hobbes. On her days off, Rachelle enjoys running, hiking, and pretty much any outdoors activity.
Tara is our fantastic Lead Assistant here at Biermann Orthodontics and has over 13 years of dental experience! Tara enjoys connecting with patients and their families to help them achieve their dream smile! She specializes in nervous kiddos (and adults!) and has many tricks up her sleeve to ensure your ortho appointment is as pleasant as possible.
Tara can often be found on her days off making her signature themed party drinks for late night dinner parties and holiday feasts (so she’s definitely the gal you want to invite to your next soiree). She enjoys baking red velvet cakes and cookies for the holidays and taking “food trips”. When the weather permits, Tara likes to take leisurely walks on some of the many beautiful trails Oregon has to offer.
Jen comes to us from bright and sunny SoCal. She is known throughout the office for her contagious laugh and cheerful demeanor. In the 10 years that Jen has been in the orthodontic field, her favorite part has always been the lasting relationships she’s built with each patient.
Jen is a photography pro and spends her days off with her husband exploring Oregon and taking pictures. She can also be found being dragged around by her rambunctious German Shepherd puppy, Canon (Yes, named after the camera brand)!
Meet Melanie, one of our lovely orthodontic assistants here at Biermann orthodontics. If you are looking for someone with experience, Mel has got it! With over 20 years of experience in dental, Mel will make sure your orthodontics appointment is fast, fun, and comfortable. Mel is known for her cool, calm and professional demeanor, but don’t let that fool you…Mel is a joker at heart.
Born in Scotland, Melanie moved to the United States 3 years ago. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, golfing and being out on the water. If you find Mel at a bowling alley, just know she is a force to be reckoned with. Mel has a high score of 192! Mel is also a self-proclaimed True Crime addict (we would set up an intervention, but we are all guilty of a Tiger King binge now and again.)
Melissa brings 15 years of dental assistant expertise to her role, specializing in orthodontics. Her hallmark is creating a positive and enjoyable dental experience, fostering trust among families, and ensuring smooth and comfortable orthodontic treatments. With a background spanning general dentistry and pediatrics, Melissa’s versatility enhances her ability to provide comprehensive patient care. She earned an Expanded Functions Dental Certificate in 2009 from Portland Community College, further cementing her proficiency in the field.
Beyond her dental career, Melissa holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, enriching her approach to working with children. Melissa’s enthusiasm for the outdoors shines through her love for activities like hiking, camping, snowboarding, and boating. She also channels her passion for running into various charitable causes. As a dedicated mother to two boys, Charlie (9 years old) and Dylan (5 years old), Melissa actively supports her sons in their sports activities, reflecting her commitment to both her profession and her family. Her unwavering dedication to excellence is a testament to her role as an invaluable asset in the orthodontic field.
