I recently finished Invisalign® here and had a great experience. For the first time in my life, I love my teeth! I really appreciated that they were extremely clear and upfront about the whole process. They were patient and flexible with me, even after I moved to a different state. It was well worth it for me to do a 4 hour drive to continue services here. There were no hidden fees or confusion. The facility is also very clean and easy to find. How Long Does Invisalign® Take for Crowded Teeth?
The length of your Invisalign® treatment plan will vary based on many factors:
- How crowded your teeth are – If your crowding isn’t severe, Invisalign® can generally be completed in as short as six to 12 months. More complex cases of crowded teeth, like overlapping, may require a longer treatment plan.
- How old you are – Age can have a significant impact on how long Invisalign® takes for crowded teeth. Younger adults or teens can get faster results because their teeth tend to move more quickly than adults, but this isn’t always the case.
- How compliant you are – If you fail to follow our instructions for Invisalign®, your treatment duration may have to be extended.
How Does Invisalign® for Crowded Teeth Work?
Invisalign® is a great choice for those with crowded teeth and allows you to avoid the inconveniences and discomforts that are often associated with braces.
As an Invisalign® patient, you’ll receive custom-made aligners that you’ll wear at least 22 hours each day. Of course, you can take them out to eat and brush and floss your teeth. Your aligners are made of a hard plastic that’s strong enough to shift your teeth into place.
About every two weeks, you’ll receive a new set of aligners, continuing treatment until your teeth are just right.
